The world renowned Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia's famous Sand Belt is artistically painted by artist Bill Cooke. Raised in the artists and photographers colony of Carmel California, Bill moved to Sydney in 1998. He lives and works in his home studio in the quaint town of Bowral, just a few hours south of Sydney.
In this 2012 painting, Cooke details the ledge green and its MacKenzie bunkers. The uphill par-3 of the West Course is one of Royal Melbourne's most memorable holes. The classic setting is unmistakably Sand Belt — wild grasses, wind twisted trees and bramble.
This Golframes edition is a tremendous addition to any golf collection. The print is reproduced with the fine detail of Cooke's brushstrokes on canvas. Each print is numbered of the limited edition of 200.
Royal Melbourne is among Australias finest golf clubs and continually ranked among the top courses in the world.
